SSMT was founded on 18 April 1995 as a charitable trust to develop sustainable institutions that generate long-term social impact. Built on a vision of self-reliant philanthropy, the Trust supports education, healthcare, and poverty reduction through structured programs and strategic partnerships.

  • Our Journey Began when our founder, Mr. A.S.M.O Subhan, witnessed the isolation of riverine communities. We realized that "preventable disability" is the greatest barrier to poverty reduction.

  • Sir John Wilson School: Grew from 9 students, 3 teachers, and a rented space (1995) to 1,200+ students, a permanent campus, and an international-standard English medium institution
  • Jibon Tari Floating Hospital: Supported since 1999, with funding increased from Tk.50,000 to Tk.5,50,000 per month, enabling sustained operations
