MORE ABOUT ITCE: ITCE is structured around several objectives to realize the Institute’s vision and mission. Our primary goal is to build the capacity of teachers through a range of targeted programs, from pre-service and in-service training to specialized certification courses that are aligned with both national priorities and global trends. By promoting research activities, ICT-based digital pedagogy, contextualized learning theories, and inclusive practices, these programs will create exceptional learning opportunities for both practicing and prospective teachers, and will thus directly impact their professional performance. Through continuous research and rigorous academic practice, this Institute will establish a teacher competency and accreditation framework that is nationally recognized and globally relevant. This framework will provide a structured pathway for professional growth for teachers serving at different levels of the education system. Notably, our flagship program in collaboration with Queen’s University has already created direct pathways for teachers to access global teaching opportunities. ITCE will also build strategic partnerships with other relevant institutions and agencies, and cultivate a meaningful professional network, locally and regionally, to contribute to a sustainable and systemic transformation in education.
